Our beloved mother, grandmother, friend, and a devout Christian woman, who was always on fire for God, has gone on to be with her family in heaven. Joann was an original charter member of Springfield Baptist Church in Archdale, NC, along with her mother: Maimi Hughes Mabe, and her father, Reverend RG Mabe, as well as her brothers and sisters: RJ, Sis, Bobbie and Jerry, who have all previously passed on to be with the lord. An avid gospel singer, Joann was asked frequently to sing during the Sunday morning worship services. A big thank you to Reverend Bobby Loving, and the Willard family, as well as to all the Springfield Baptist Church members, who loved her and were inspired by her living testimony and gospel singing.
